The Ridgeway in Aid of The Bobby Moore Fund

The Ridgeway National Trail is 85 miles long, stretching from Avebury in Wiltshire, over rolling, open downland to the west of the River Thames, and through secluded valleys and woods in The Chilterns to the east, finishing near Ivinghoe in Hertfordshire. Reputed to be the oldest road in Britain, the trail follows the same route used since prehistoric times by travellers, herdsmen and soldiers.
