Image
A 14km circular walk from the Princetown Visitor Centre car park (SX 589 735), that bags 12 tors; North Hessary Tor, Herne Hole Tor, Rundlestone Tor, Hollow Tor, Foggintor, Swell Tor, King's Tor, Criptor, Ingra Tor, Leeden Tor, Black Tor (River Meavy), and finally, Hart Tor (Walkhampton Common).

Australia: Bluff Knoll and my final bushwalk of the trip

Image
My final bushwalk of the trip, and it was one I had finally come to do after first standing at the start 16 years ago. Back then, I was on a coach tour of the South-West, and the car park of Bluff Knoll was merely an attraction that had to be hurriedly ticked off, so there was no walking, just looking up at the 1095 metre mountain before jumping back on the bus for the return to Perth.

Australia: Porongurup National Park

Ascending from Denmark and Wilson Inlet on the Bibbulmun Track, on my way to the coastal shelter near West Cape Howe, the northern vista affords you a view inland as far as Mount Barker, the mountains of the Stirling Ranges and the granite peaks of the Porongurup National Park. With this scene engrained in my memory, it was probably inevitable that I would end this stay in Australia with a couple of days bushwalking there.
