The Bibbulmun Track: my next charity challenge

After my April 2012 trek in Tasmania, I returned to Perth, where I arranged a day trip down to the Tree Top Walkway and Valley of the Giants, in the South-West corner of the state. Whilst at the walkway, I spotted a sign to the Bibbulmun Track, which passes through the region. It reminded me of a post I put up back in July 2011, and I thought, with one goal achieved, I would share it again, with some exciting updates;

Chiltern Way 9: Cow Roast to Chalk Hill

Anyone who watched the impressive Thames Jubilee Pageant, on the Sunday, would see that it wasn’t the best day to be out and about. After taking a drenching the day before, I chose not to put myself through the rinse cycle on the next leg of the Chiltern Way, and stayed in to watch the royal procession. Next day, though, I was back at Cow Roast, on the Grand Union Canal, a brighter day promised.

Chiltern Way 8: Saunderton to Cow Roast

My troublesome shoulder always puts me in a lackadaisical frame of mind, and so when I was awoken by the pain on Friday morning, I quickly bailed on a Jubilee Weekend trip up to the Lake District. The thought of five hours driving never appeals to me, but throw in a constant need to reposition and rest my arm, it wasn’t a difficult decision.
